On February 20th-27th, the next stage of project, dedicated to the Polish-Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, was held. During the first three days in Warsaw, the Polish & Norwegian participants worked under the guidance of musicians from Royal String Quartet. During the summary concert (February 22nd, Elsner Hall in Dziekanka), the chambers ensembles presented Raff’s Octet, 1st part from Borodin String Quartet as well as 2nd and 3rd part of Shostakovitch String Quartet. The next 4 days, the students spent in Zakopane, where they took part in the chamber workshops, run by prof. Krystyna Makowska-Ławrynowicz and prof. Ole Eirik Ree. The workshops ended with the concert in Karol Szymanowski’s Villa “Atma”, where the pieces of Szymanowski and also less known Polish and Norwegian composers were performed. The concert was completed with the lectures of:

- Józef Kański – about the historical context of Szymanowski’s pieces;
- Sławomir Czarnecki – about the tradition and quotations from the traditional folk music from the region.

Paralelly, in Warsaw and Zakopane, the rehearsals of Polish-Norwegian Chamber Orchestra took place. This time the orchestra worked under the guidance of prof. Andrzej Gębski and prof. Bard Monsen. The final concert was held on February 26th in White Palace in Zakopane. The group performed: Sinfonia „De Nativitate” (quotations from Polish carols), O. Bull/J. Svendsen - Saeterjentens Sondag, Sarek by T. Bjorklund and Jurassic Concerto of S. Czarnecki. During their stay in Zakopane, the students participated in the workshops and concert of traditional folk music, prepared by the Band of Jan Karpiel-Bułecka.
