Courses in Lancut 2011
International Music Courses in Łańcut 2011 for the second time hosted the participants of Polish-Norwegian Youth Academy of Music. Apart from standard – for Łańcut – individual and chamber music master classes in a fairy-tale scenery of Palace, the student took part in the improvisation and composition classes, prepared and lectured by Miłosz Bembinow. Our participants visited also the “City of Art” Festival in Jarosław, organized by the Association of Artistis “Euforis”. The stay in Łańcut was summed up with the gala concert on July 24th. The following day we went to Warsaw to take part in the Festival “From Chopin to Górecki – sources and inspirations”. Within the framework of Festival, Polish-Norwegian group was given the master classes e.g. with the members of Royal String Quartet. We listened to the Mozart Festival concert in Warsaw Chamber Opera. For the final day of project we went to Radziejowice, where the participants concert was held.
"It was great fun joining the trip to Poland! If I should point to anything special, the masterclasses with prof. Sterczynski were very instructive and different from the lessons I am used to. I actually had many experiences rich in memories during the Poland course. What was good was that it was not just playing all the time; it was also organized for us to see and enjoy Poland itself. In Lancut it was very special with the palace and the concerts we had there.Another of my most memorable experiences was Chopin’s childhood home where we had a concert last year.
I am very happy indeed to have been able to join the Poland courses"
